Welcome to East Gippsland Photographic Society!

We have a membership of enthusiasts keen to share and develop their skills in all styles of photography.
Skills range from beginners with point and shoot cameras to experienced SLR photographers with many years of experience, willing to share their knowledge with others. Club activities include monthly workshops and lots of field trips throughout the year. Our planner is on our website at http://www.egpsinc.org

Visitors are welcome to attend a workshop held on the 4th Wednesday each month at Room 16, U3A Building at the HUB, entry via the car park off Service St. Bairnsdale.  7pm for a 7.30pm start.

About our club
​It all started with three small notices put in the local paper late in 2007 and a get together of interested people was held on 16 December 2007.   About 22 people attended and decided to form a photographic club.  Our Official Formation Meeting was held on 16 February 2008, and the East Gippsland Photographic Society was born.
​
Our Vision: To foster the growth and development of photography in East Gippsland.
Our Mission: East Gippsland Photographic Society is committed to improving the opportunities available to the East Gippsland community to develop their photographic skills and techniques, by learning to make interesting images, entering competitions, National and International exhibitions and attending conventions.  It will provide access for all whenever it can, encompassing a variety of skill levels, ages, gender, socio-economic backgrounds and geographical locations.

East Gippsland Photographic Society

Our club, the East Gippsland Photographic Society, was formed in 2008 by a small but dedicated group. We are based in Bairnsdale in East Gippsland and have many people travelling a fair distance, once a month, to our club workshops. We currently have approximately 60 members. Our photographers are from many walks of life and all different levels of photography.

An organised range field trips to places local, regional and further afield are well attended.  Some are day trips, some weekends and others of longer duration. We are always eager to network with other clubs at events or workshops. We have bi-monthly club competitions and guest judges who support us to encourage our members. We love to share our passion with others.

Attendance at local community events shows our commitment to reaching out to those who have an interest in photography in our regional area.

Our workshops include guest speakers, judges and practical sessions. We have a website egpsinc.org and a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/egps1which is open to members only.
